On this page , we have tried to pull together all the ongoing issues the Council is dealing with.
Highways – The Parish Council are concerned about the increased traffic noise from the A629. We are making represenatations to NYCC Highways.
Street Lighting – The present situation . After what seems like years of trying, we at last have a street light erected which will illuminate Parsons Bridge. This has always been a “black” spot for villagers using the bridge in winter.
The Arbour – Planting.
The Parish Council is undertaking extensive work on the Lower Arbour. A new “User Friendly” path has been installed, replacing the uneven steps. It is intended to make the steps higher up easier to walk down and install a seat at the top of the Lower Arbour to appreciate the magnificent views. The seat has been funded by Keith Bunnett, an ex-Farnhill resident.
A feasibilty study has been drawn up on the installation of new steps between the realigned path (See new “User Friendly” path below) and the amenity area. Click here for the explanation and plans. YOUR VIEWS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Please contact the Parish Clerk with your opinions
Finance – Click here for details of how we propose to spend your precept in 2016/17. See Documents/ Financial Compliance for other financial information.
Planning – No current planning applications.
Refuse Collection – The Parish Council is still in discussion With Craven DC on the issue of Collection Points.
“A Year in Farnhill” – We are constantly seeking pictures of the village to include on the website. Please send them to the Parish Clerk
